The Birth of an Idea – The Imperio Golf Glove (2020–2021)
The Imperio was born in the middle of uncertainty. During the pandemic, I dedicated myself to designing a golf glove that would be more than just an accessory. My goal was to create something that captured both performance and identity, a glove that felt as premium as the game itself.
We launched in 2021, and almost immediately the glove found its way into the hands of golfers everywhere. Within months, it was stocked at GolfTown, Golf Avenue, and prestigious pro shops such as St-Raphaël, Cowansville, and St-Jean-de-Matha with AMAZING REVIEWS!
More than that, it gained the trust of ambassadors like Mac Boucher, Danny Woodhead, and Steve Foisy, who embodied what the Imperio stood for: confidence, quality, and a love for the game.
It felt like we had created something special. And we had.
The Setback (2023)
But success rarely comes without trials.
In 2023, a poor leather production run forced us into a recall. For a small start-up like Invictus, this was a crushing blow. It hurt our finances, but even more, it risked shaking the trust of the golfers who believed in us.
At that moment, we had a choice: fold, or fight.
Instead of seeing the setback as an end, we treated it as the definition stage of Design Thinking, identifying the real problem. The Imperio was good, but if it was to become the best, it had to be built to a higher standard.
Reinventing The Best Golf Glove Through Design Thinking (2024–2025)
That’s when the reinvention began.
We went back to the drawing board and applied the Design Thinking process step by step:

Empathize: We listened carefully to golfers, from pros to weekend players, to truly understand what they valued in a glove: softness, grip, durability, and responsibility.

Define: The problem wasn’t just one bad batch. It was the need to guarantee consistent quality while pushing for innovation and responsibility.

Ideate: We brainstormed solutions that would raise the Imperio to the next level, from material sourcing to design refinements.

Prototype: We tested dozens of samples, pushing them through real-world golf rounds, sweat, and weather.

Test & Iterate: Every small improvement led us closer to something extraordinary.
The result? The Imperio is now the only golf glove on the market certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG), a guarantee not only of premium quality but also of environmentally responsible leather sourcing.
