I’m Karl, the founder of Invictus Gloves, and my commitment to women’s flag football is personal and it’s only grown stronger over time.

My introduction to the sport came from Clara Beaudoin, a standout athlete who insisted I needed to “see this rising tide.” Her passion convinced me to shine a spotlight on women’s flag football and today, Clara is playing for Team Canada on the world stage.

As a brand rooted in performance, quality, and identity, Invictus has made it our mission to empower female flag football athletes with top-tier gloves that help them own every moment of their game.

The Unstoppable Rise of Women’s Flag Football

Women’s flag football is no longer an emerging sport, it’s a fast-moving force that’s gaining attention at every level.

Explosive Participation Growth

  • High school participation skyrocketed to 42,955 girls playing in the 2023–24 season, a 105% increase from the year before.

  • Overall flag football participation hit 7.3 million athletes in 2023, up from 5.5 million in 2014.

Breaking Into High School and College Programs

  • 14 states now sanction girls’ flag football in high schools.

  • Over 65 NCAA schools offer women’s flag football at the club or varsity level.

  • NAIA sanctioned the sport in 2021, followed by NJCAA shortly after.

  • In 2025, the Atlantic East Conference held the first-ever NCAA varsity women’s flag football championship.

Global Momentum and Institutional Support

  • Olympic debut in 2028, the sport will be featured at the Los Angeles Games.

  • The NFL has become a major backer, launching awards, funding leagues, and showcasing the sport at events like the Pro Bowl.

Why Invictus Gloves Champions Female Flag Athletes

Gloves That Matters

At Invictus, we’ve outfitted teams and athletes with performance-focused gloves that also serve as a bold personal statement, custom, high-quality, expressive gloves that sticks to the game and to your identity.

From club teams to national squads, our gloves aren’t just about grip and durability, they’re about confidence, presence, and pride.

2025 World Games: A Milestone

This year, at the World Games in China, Invictus is proud to sponsor 20 female flag football athletes from Canada, USA, and Mexico.

These athletes are heading into a high-pressure, high-visibility environment and they’ll do it with the best gloves in the game.

Reflection of Our Brand Values

  • Empowerment — Supporting female athletes aligns with our core values of growth, resilience, and performance.

  • Community — By investing in women’s flag football, we help strengthen the sport’s ecosystem and visibility.

  • Vision — We see a future where the sport is mainstream, inclusive, and sustainable, and we’re helping to build it one pair of gloves at a time.

What’s Driving This Momentum?

Women’s flag football isn’t just growing, it’s becoming part of the mainstream sports conversation.

Accessibility and Inclusion

Flag football’s low-contact format makes it more accessible, especially for girls who’ve historically lacked opportunities to play football-style sports.

In places like Minnesota, pilot leagues have drawn athletes new to organized sports, creating opportunities for players of all backgrounds to step into competition.

Institutional Endorsement

  • The NCAA’s Emerging Sports for Women platform is expected to include flag football soon, with votes coming as early as 2026.

  • Colleges like Russell Sage have already announced varsity women’s flag football teams, with debuts set for 2026.

Cultural Momentum

  • The sport has featured during major events like the Super Bowl, showcasing top talent in front of millions.

  • NFL leadership calls it “football for all”, and they mean it, putting resources into making girls’ flag football as integral as any other youth sport.

From One Conversation to a Global Stage

Several years ago, Clara Beaudoin and I sat down to talk. She was already a driven athlete, but she also had a vision, and she believed women’s flag football was going to be the next big thing.

She told me point-blank: “You need to start covering this more, supporting it more, and showing people what’s coming.”

At the time, women’s flag football didn’t have the exposure it deserved. But Clara’s energy was infectious, and I decided to act.

We began sponsoring athletes, creating content, and showing up for the sport. Seeing Clara now wearing the maple leaf on her jersey for Team Canada is proof that she was right, and I’m grateful she gave me that push.

How Invictus Helps Her Succeed

Here’s what our support looks like in action:

How We Support Why It Matters
Providing custom gloves to national and club teams Athletes feel seen, supported, and confident
Showcasing women’s flag football in our content Builds visibility and drives participation
Investing in collegiate and youth programs Strengthens the pipeline of future talent
Sharing athlete stories like Clara’s Adds authenticity and builds emotional connection

We’re not just sending gloves, we’re building relationships, telling stories, and giving athletes tools to perform their best.

The Road Ahead

From that first conversation with Clara to outfitting national teams for the 2025 World Games in China, my journey with women’s flag football has been about more than gloves. It’s been about belief. It’s been about showing athletes that they matter and giving them the confidence to own their moment when it counts.

The sport is no longer a hidden gem. It’s on a global stage now, gaining momentum every season, and the women driving this growth deserve the very best. I’m proud that Invictus has been part of that journey, and even prouder of the athletes who are making history with every game they play.

If you’re a player chasing your next big win, a coach looking to inspire your team, or an organization ready to make a statement, let’s connect. I want to hear your story, see your vision, and help you bring it to life with gloves that’s built for performance and made to be yours.

The future of women’s flag football is here, and together, we can shape it.
